So Vannah’s daughter, Mini, has scoliosis and is undergoing some surgery. There are a few people streaming to send donations to the Children’s Scoliosis Foundation. Hello, this is a different kind of self promotion and if it is not allowed here, I will take it down, but I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update and ask the community for a call to action to help raise awareness.
On August 8th my daughter will be going in for major surgery to correct her scoliosis, and I will be taking the month of August off of streaming to support her during this time. I want to use this opportunity to both raise awareness for Scoliosis and to show her that the world is supporting her by turning the world green on 08/08 and the month of August.
My ask is simple:
- if you are a streamer, add this .png to your stream overlay for August and add a !Scoliosis command that reads: <Scoliosis is a chronic spinal deformity disease that causes an abnormal curve of the spine, often appearing in an S or C-shaped curve. For more information, check out www.srs.org>
- Whether you stream or not, wear green on 08/08 and if you are comfortable and inclined, send me a DM with a picture of you in your green along with a simple message telling me generically where you are from (state/country) so that I can share with her during her recovery, all the folks around the world that supported her.
